Technical information:
"This character
was added much later to the story arch. I felt there were too many
armoured characters. The original story gravitated around Vral and
the Dregonoths (dream riders). This character emerged out of Tormoraz
who was the original main focus of the whole story (see dream riders
section in archive).
Fig.1 is the picture that got the most reaction from young viewers.
So i tried to stay as close to it as possible. Cut the hair a bit
shorter. And had to change the colour sceem. I was tired of the brown
colored hero look. The Dregonoths are white, Vral is white so is Fardesil
, and Irslif. I love blue, so I figured I should play with blue. I
wanted something nordic looking. So I let myself be inspired by Laponeese
traditional clothing (fig.3) and also Kai Nielsen's artwork (fig 2).
Also, I let myself be inspired by Mamoru Nagano's Knight of gold (fig.4).
Turing the mecha into clothing. The final result is what you see above.
Beneath the blue red and white cloak,I gave him a very basic black
and white outfit. Inspired by the Kenner Han Solo action figure of
the 70s (fig5). I always thought that the black and white outfit looked
really cool. working on a 3d representation of the character made
me realise that the design make him look rather aristrocratic. tears
and stress marks will be added to his closthes based on what ive obsreved
on my own clothes, shoes and boots. He is, after all, a representative
of the working poor."
